Contender for book of the year 2007 #2

Photo © Livia Corona

I was delighted to discover that another Printspace alumni is releasing a book this spring. Enanitos Toreros by photographer Livia Corona is being published by powerHouse Books. For the past 8 years Livia has documented the Enanitos Toreros, troupes of little people performing as bullfighters. She has toured with them extensively through her native Mexico and on trips to to migrant farming comunities here in the U.S.

I am a huge fan of Livia's work, she has shot for Life Magazine, The Fader, NY Times Magazine amongst many others and is a fellow PDN 30. She divides her time between New York and Mexico City.

Really looking forward to seeing this work in the print so to speak, she has a taster on her site. Check her out here.

Here's to you Livia Corona !

Fantastic work! Reminds me of early Mary Ellen, hopefully she doesn't become as cynical.
